These SIL figures came from an across flock analysis of 57 flocks, which was run in March 2009.

Waidale 350-06 was an outstanding lamb, good growth rates, a standout from a very early age, I used him as a lamb.  His dam is an exceptional ewe in her own right, in her first mating she was put to Tresco 148-03 and produced a set of twin ewe lambs that were in the top 6 of the flock (photos of them are below along with one of 350’s mother Waidale 145-02, she is the middle photo), she then was mated back to Tresco 148-03 the next year and produced another set of twins one of which was 350 pictured above and other was sold at Feilding stud Fair.

As the photos show, 350 is an extremely well balanced ram, again good colour, good open face, good black feet, good wool (medium to strong), good depth, just a very good sheep.   Again his SIL figures back up the very things I have just said, ie growth rates, meat and Fertility (the fertility of course coming from his sire Tresco 148-03.  You will note that his survival index is negative, this reflects the fact that he has a high fertility and fecundity background ie a lot of triplets, hence a few deaths as well.  He also is a 1,1 on the footrot scale which is the best you can have.
